In a heartbreaking scene that played out on a busy Hanoi road, a tiny, abandoned puppy, struck by a vehicle, lay helpless and whimpering, its chances of survival appearing slim.
Left alone and injured, the puppy's faint barks seemed to fade with each passing moment, until a stroke of luck and the kindness of a stranger intervened just in time.
The devastating discovery was made by a commuter navigating the afternoon traffic. Noticing a small, still form on the side of the road, they initially thought it was debris.
However, a faint, distressed yelp caught their attention. Upon stopping, they were met with the tragic sight of a small puppy, clearly injured and unable to move, lying perilously close to the flow of vehicles.
"It was so small and fragile," the rescuer recounted, their voice filled with sadness. "Its leg was twisted at an unnatural angle, and it was just lying there, whimpering weakly. Cars were just driving past. It was awful."
