In an astounding incident that defies belief and has become the talk of Hanoi, a quick-thinking elephant and a surprisingly strong monkey are being hailed as heroes after their unprecedented teamwork seemingly prevented a public bus from plunging into a ravine yesterday afternoon.
The bizarre rescue unfolded on a winding mountain road just outside the city, leaving witnesses and authorities utterly astonished.
The local bus, carrying approximately twenty passengers, was reportedly navigating a sharp turn when its back wheels slipped off the edge of the narrow road, leaving it dangerously teetering on the brink of a steep drop.
Panic erupted inside the vehicle as the driver struggled to regain control on the loose gravel. It appeared to be a scene headed for certain disaster.
However, in a twist of fate that sounds more like a fable, an elephant, believed to have wandered from a nearby conservation area, was foraging in the adjacent forest.
Seemingly aware of the impending catastrophe, the large mammal, with remarkable speed and agility, used its massive trunk to brace against the rear of the bus, effectively halting its slide towards the ravine.
